Karlie Kloss, a model and businesswoman, explains to BAZAAR what’s in her personalised makeup bag and her upbeat approach to beauty.

In addition to being a supermodel, entrepreneur, philanthropist, mentor, and mother, KARLIE KLOSS is many more things. It follows that her complex beauty philosophy should also be expected. She tells BAZAAR in this exclusive video revealing her daily essential – the newest instalment in our Inside My Beauty Bag series – that she “really appreciates the power that fashion, and beauty, have as forms of self-expression, to allow you to try on and take on different characters” after modelling for 15 years, or half of her life. “I believe that choosing how I want to express myself on a given day has a lot of power. I have moods where I want to be extremely glamorous and others where I want to be athletic. I enjoy doing it.
This attitude is reflected in the items within her specially constructed beauty bag, which bears the slogan “In Kloss of Emergency.” She jokes that she is “the ultimate bag woman” and says, “This comes everywhere with me,” before presenting only “an edited version” of what she always carries with her. Actually, “everything and the kitchen sink” is involved.
She included nipple covers and blister plasters (for any sheer material clothing emergency) among her favourite cosmetics and gadgets, in addition to energy-boosting snacks and Berocca vitamins. She says, “I’m a lady on the go; I’m usually racing between planes, going to set and catching another flight and trying to squeeze in a workout.” The Bumble and bumble Prêt-à-powder Post Workout Dry Shampoo Mist, her go-to hair product, is “a genuine lifesaver” because of this. Her Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Eye Treatment Masks, high-performance pads that brighten and tighten weary eye regions, are another travel-friendly treasure.
It’s obvious that Kloss is serious about her skincare. She shows off her most recent “fun and nerdy” acquisition, the Therabody Theraface Pro. Kloss informs us that the facial device is based on “percussive therapy that helps massage and drain,” and that it is her go-to secret weapon after “a late night, or too much fun.”
In terms of fragrance, Kloss has a certain characteristic perfume in Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. She declares as the representative of the franchise, “I am really proud to be the face of Good Girl. The celebration of its accomplishment is just one of the many reasons why “this fragrance is so meaningful to me.” According to research from LookFantastic that examined Google searches conducted throughout the world, Good Girl has been the most widely used perfume since its inception in 2016.
Very Good Girl Glam, the most recent version, is now stocked in stores.) Once more, there is more to her love of it than first appears. We’ve collaborated with Carolina Herrera and Good Girl on establishing Kode with Klossy and supporting our efforts to provide chances for young women to learn how to code, in addition to working together to launch this scent from the beginning. This company, she continues, “is all about encouraging women to realise their full potential, the dualities of being feminine and interested in both fashion and technology – and the great influence that you can have with these extremely technical talents.” She reveals that she finds the aroma to be “very visceral and emotional” for her, adding that “the smell of Good Girl conjures so many beautiful moments in my profession and in my life.”
She also like lip liner as a finishing touch. She points to the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencils and declares, “A natural lip liner is constantly in my bag.” “I have always loved lip liners so much.” Her approach? Even without wearing a lot of makeup, you can achieve a more glam look by filling in the top lip line. And there’s more where that came from; in the video Kloss offers a number of advice that she’s learned from her time spent in the spotlight.
“What I find even more amazing is that when I feel good on the inside, it actually gives me this ability to tap into this inner confidence,” she says. “I think that’s the strength of the fashion and beauty industries; they can enable people to express themselves or feel like the best versions of themselves,” said the author. She is the perfect example of it.
